Brenda's Schoolwear is the family business managed by Steve Optix and his Mother, Jan Green, which currently employ a total of twelve members of staff. Brenda, Steve's Grandmother, opened Brenda's in 1949 and still plays a role in the business.
2008 was a huge year for Brenda's. As well as taking over the uniform sales for six more schools, taking the number of schools they supply to twenty eight, Brenda's moved to a larger premises in Alexandra Road, North Camp Village, Farnborough. Brenda's has been looking to relocate for over five years but the properties just haven't been available to buy. Brenda's are expanding further still in 2009 by opening another store in Camberley, Surrey, to accomodate the schools we supply in that area.
