About
Steve Optix has lived in North Camp for thirty one years, bar a few overseas excursions to work abroad. Steve’s family business, Brenda’s Schoolwear, has been established in North Camp since 1949
From 1991 to 2003 Steve was involved in the music scene working as a DJ, promoting club nights and also released a top selling record. Since 2000 Steve has been designing websites and also for a while ran a record sales website, cheapdancevinyl.com, and an antiques and collectables website, solidsilver.co.uk.

Steve designed and built the North Camp Village website in 2004 which has achieved much success including coming second in the 2007 Hantsweb awards for ‘Best Local Area Website’ beating off 192 other nominations. The North Camp Village website has received over 25,000 visits as well as also being nominated for the 2006 Hantsweb Awards.
Day to day Steve assists in the running of Brenda’s Schoolwear.

One of Steve’s passions is football and he was a founding member of North Camp Football Club and also instrumental in setting up the men’s team for Rushmoor Community Football Club. Steve also held a seat on the Aldershot & District Football League Committee as Divisional Representative.
Steve is the Chairman of North Camp Matters Community Association, a group dedicated to improving the way of life for residents and traders in the area. As if Steve doesn’t have enough to keep him busy he’s also on the Executive Committee of the newly formed Farnborough Society and is the Communications Group leader.
He lives with his girlfriend Donna in Camp Road, North Camp, Farnborough and has a four year old son, Charlie Optix. |
