The Website Development Cycle
- The client makes an enquiry about a website stating the requirements.
- I
confirm that the enquiry has been received and advise on suitable
options, cost and when work can begin.
- The client agrees upon a commission by confirming the requirements,
supplying me with any content (ie text, images, photos etc) required
to carry out the commission and paying 50% of the cost upfront.
After work commences this is non-refundable.
- All content provided to myself
for use/inclusion on your website must either be copyright free
or be cleared with the copyright holder i.e images and text from
a supplier's catalogue etc. I cannot accept any responsibility for
copyright infringement except where I have sourced the images for
a website.
- I begin work and within 2-3 days of the agreed start date, upload
a preliminary start page to my server for the client to view and
comment upon.
- Within a 2-4 week period the website is constructed on my server
using feedback from the client. 1, 3 and 5 page websites are usually
'live' in about two weeks with larger sites taking a little longer
dependant on the format of your content*.
- When myself and the client are satisfied that the website meets
the criteria agreed in the commissioning process, I will send an
invoice for the remaining 50% to the client.
- When payment has been received from the client, the website is
published on the client's server.
